The problem is the material of the show and the chain, it’s a bad quality shoe either way

Ladies, buy REAL leather shoes. Real leather products will almost always last you much longer and you can polish out scuffs. As a bonus, they will not end up in a landfill in a year because real leather can last many years and even decades.
I have shoes that I still wear from the 1990s when I was in my early 20s! The styles are outdated, but they have the most wonderful platforms and are fun on occasion.
I actually prefer the loafer with the small chain detail. Whether or not it looks more expensive is besides the point. I think the small chain detail is more flattering as it visually makes the foot appear more narrow as the chain detail is slightly shorter than the width of the shoe.
Sorry … but I disagree. They look matronly either way.

The piece that you left on after cutting does not look elegant lol.
The chain interrupts the nude color and shortens the leg and foot. Also, the chain is extraneous and doesn’t really serve much function. Not a fan of chain details on shoes or bags. It gets tarnished and caught on things, like nice cashmere !

7:17 I stopped buying silk once I learned how it's made. It requires horrible suffering of beautiful animals. They are unfortunately boiled alive in order to obtain silk. I put their wellbeing as a priority over my wrinkles easily any day, because no wrinkle is more important that a living creature's suffer-free life. Wrinkles are inevitable and in order to age gracefully we need to accept that.
The color of the shoe looks blah to me, if I were gifted the shoes I’d wear them. I would actually replace the chain with a thicker, heavier one.

If the chain is big I agree, but with this loafer I disagree. Just like the famous Gucci loafer has a thin golden detail, I think here it’s a nice addition too
