I love denim too
Still enjoying, or beginning to enjoy the denim, satin, lace, dress-over-pants, balloon pants, little cardies, V neckline trends etc. I've started to go against my own impulses to purchase or wear prints so often and started pairing up solid or muted colored pieces, and then just accessorizing the heck out of them with a few statement elements. It's my $$$ and storage space saving hack-of-choice for 2026. But I will always love romantic girly styles and layering for Springtime! Thanks for the great content, Leonie!

I had balloon pants in the early 2000s, back when they were called “harem pants”. Guessing that’s not p/c now. Anyway. Super comfy but always a bit polarising.
the balloon denim jacket on you looks chic AND approachable. i love how you wore it as a top. the 'i dream of jeanie' pant is like fantasy dressing for me. i am looking for a pair to hike in!!!
I love balloon pants. Started wearing during Covid. Practical, versatile, and very comfy. I also like a skirt over pants but have to be particular with both pieces. Not all combos work well. Only trend I’d definitely not is the two toned shoe thing.
DROP WAIST TREND from existing closet:
Tunic or Mini-Dress Knit Pullover
plus
Fullor Pencil-Shaped Midi- or Maxi- Skirt (satin, sheer lace, chiffon)
plus
Narrow Belt worn low on the hip over the Pullover layer.
Try a duster as a top layer and wear it unbuttoned. My favorite combo is a black and brown wool knit mini dress over a fully lined black lace gored maxi-skirt. Second skirt option is a black lace pencil skirt where the lining ends at the knee. Third skirt choice is a black satin full slip skirt. Contrasting belts are the star of the outfit that first draws the eye to the drop waist vibe. A little bling on the belt goes a.long way. The rest is texture, color and not conflicting with the long and narrow overall silhouette. A longer trench coat would harmonize or a crop coat would draw attention to the drop waist with a little more edge. When I wear a full skirt for this vibe, the fabric drapes close to the body for to narrow overall silhouette. Draped satin or light knit pull-on wide leg pants are another option for the long narrow bottom. I have not tried my white chiffon midi-skirts under a tunic top with belt yet. It depends on if the top can create enough pressure to flatten the skirt between the skirt-waist and the lower hip. The belt will help hold fabric down, but if it's too pouffy, it's a fail for the drop waist attempt, and I'm just not a fan of ballet-core. I'll take vibe over literal translations every day.

I love denim! You have great style everything looks great. Not sure every body type especially the Ballon pants I find they overwhelm me just like anything oversized. The dark denim suit is really versatile and beautiful
It’s always fun to see what you’ve noticed trending in the fashion world! Coincidentally I’ve just decided that v-necks are my best choice in necklines for my face, so it looks like I’ll have some great options!

Imo, the bubble jacket together with the balloon pants, plus the assymetric slip dress was too much and not flattering 🤷🏻♀️
Many of the styles would look hideous on petite people – especially skirt/dress over pants; that lace skirt over jeans etc

I hate the new bomber jackets that are missing the band underneath. It just looks so unfinished to me and very odd, plus for anyone heavier in the waist region these new jackets will not work as it makes you look bigger than you are. I absolutely hate that they removed the bottom. Bombers are such a beautiful classic and this just ruins it.

i like the satin skirt/dress.. easy to wear and can be dress up or down along with the cardie trend..the dipped toe an broach is a fun one… but the balloon pants reminds me of I dream of jeanie pants..lol
I have several satin skirts in different colours. They're very versatile. Excited by the balloon pants.
