  1. I love this! I do have to say though, Lady Violet and Kate have some of the most beautiful gowns I have ever seen on a show though, so at least they are really beautiful.

However, I really appreciate your video and seeing a real regency outfit and it's really pretty too!

  2. It drives me absolutely bonkers that the very first episode starts with a woman getting tightly laced into a corset. Corsets didn't exist then (stays are different). Tight lacing was rare because it would rip out hend-sewn eyelets. And they would have been wearing short stays anyway! It was such a stupid scene all around .

  3. Well, I am so glad they aren't using this sort of things. Bridgerton is meant to a smutty romance first, plus the new addition of such a diverse cast with their cultures connected to their characters. We are here for the whimsy and the tea, there are better shows for a more rooted and accurate regency romance.
No one expects Pride and Prejudice while reading a RoFan webtoon. Y'all are lacking in serious immersion skills.

  4. It baffles me that you and the few other clearly scholarly and highly credible fashion historians on social media aren't just super busy as technicsl advisors for these shows; given that the fashion is a significant feature!
    😑😐🤨
