Wear what you like, use your own critical thinking . Most important to me is comfort and health of my feet too. So I ignore all this advice . I never wear heels . I choose natural fabrics . I try to buy ethically . Sense before fashion.
Oh yes, by all means wear a skirt with four inch heels that will give you no purchase on ice and snow, and be useless for walking anywhere longer than the distance from a parking lot to the door of a restaurant. No thanks.
Some can't wear heels because of ankle problems and even platform shoes sometimes don't work with longer skirts.

Nothing wrong with flat shoes as long you wearing tights..it the top that made difference..Imagine in the hot summer boots are not even an option ..
