  1. Sounds silly, but I will light a scented candle or use a wax melt or aroma diffuser, have a cup of tea and journal, knit, sew or embroyder. It makes me feel comfortable and soothes me.

  2. Thank you for your amazing video, I've found it incredibly helpful. I've subscribed and will use it as part of my self care routine (which is finding self care help in the morning) XOXO

  3. Self help books help me. I do not care if they say they do not help me at all whatsoever I’m learning how too plants plant and I wanna work at the Home Depot flowering plants surrounded by plants.

  4. You mention doing things with friends and family a lot. I gather you have a meaningful circle of friends and that is fortunate. Friends and family members are the source of distress for a fair number of people. Please recognize however that many people who lack self care and self compassion do not have friends or family. They don’t get emotional nourishment from relationships since they don’t have any. Please (if you are) buy into any illusion that everyone has friends, family and relationships. A large number don’t. There is a tendency among some to want to believe that everyone lives a happy fulfilled life because it’s kind of taboo to talk about or even acknowledge that life isnt a television show, life isn’t what is happening in happy songs or pretty magazines…for many. And that’s a reality, not an opinion. Your video is teaching people to be kind to themselves because their lives lack it. So I think you definitely get it. Big hugs to you. Thank you for the video.

  5. thank you so much for all the wonderful tips, i took notes! i am learning all about self care after a mentally and emotionally abusive relationship of 21 years. i am eager to learn about self care and self love.

  6. Right now I’m stuck in a cycle of only wanting to sleep all the time. I try to justify it by saying “if I didn’t need sleep, I wouldn’t be sleeping so much…” but I feel like that’s just an excuse to escape something else. I don’t have time to do anything else because all I do right now is sleep, work, and scroll TikTok.
I get that not scrolling TikTok would open up more time for me but I wouldn’t use it productively, I would probably just sit and stare or sleep.

  7. GREAT VIDEO MEGHAN!!! THIS SPRING I NEED TO BUY A MOUNTAIN BIKE. SO I MAY GET OUT TO NATURE MORE!!! THAT IS AN AREA OF MY LIFE THAT I NEED TO WORK ON MORE. THANK YOU SO MUCH AND I LEARNED SO MUCH. THANKS FOR SHARING!!!

  8. Im in the crossroad at the moment. I just move to a new city that not aligned with my islander minimalism lifestyle. everything here is so toxicly pressuring to the nonsense direction. Also, I got attached with a lot of people with fake energy and most of the time they've been scared to pursue something genuine and truthful. I've been feeling lost and lonely. this is help me a lot.

  9. Thank you for this helpful content. I searched for self care tips and can’t tell you how many YouTubers I watched who were making sponsored videos under the guise of true self care. I really appreciate your authenticity.

  10. This is one of the best self-care ideas videos I've watched. Thank you so much Meghan for making this and sharing it with your audience. I'm also a new subscriber. I'll definitely watch all your other videos! 😊
